Launcher Pro gets an update and brings great new features!

LauncherPro has been updated to v.0.8.2, bringing with it some excellent changes. Personally, I have been using the application on my Captivate for few months and since I downloaded, i bought the Pro version. This is probably the most popular alternative launcher for any android.

* Virtual looping: When this is enabled, users can scroll past their last homescreen, When you try to scroll past the last homescreen, LauncherPro will quickly bounce back to the first. To enable this feature, go into Preferences->HomeScreen Settings->Virtual Looping
* Dock popup: This feature is for Pro users only.Recent Apps. Will show you a list of your most recently used apps/tasks, so that you can quickly switch between then. To enable, hold down an icon in the dock->Swipe gesture action->Show Popup->Recent Apps. Thus far, I have found it displays more apps than long pressing the Home button

* Clear cache option for Twitter and Facebook widgets; this is also only for Pro users. To access this, go to Preferences->LP Widget Settings->Twitter widget/Facebook widget. If you still don’t have Launcher Pro, go to the Market and download it.. go Now! :)

Gingerbread or WM7 launcher.. you choose!

First was Launcher Pro by Federico Cardenas, and now we have 2 more launcher choices. After Google announced the new Google Nexus S and Android 2.3 Gingerbread, pretty much everyone wants to update and get the latest OS. Thanks again to our friends from XDA, we can get the Gingerbread launcher now available on the Market. What is the difference from the stock Android 2.2 launcher? It has colors. Are you fun of WM7?.i guess not but you can get now the WM7 theme on you Android. Just go to Market and find Windows Phone Android application, if you cant find it here is the apk to download. So far many have complain about this theme, no notifications, is buggy, does not run on all devices. If you want, give it a try. For my personal experience, and installed it, played for 2 minuted with it, then it’s gone..

T-Mobile promises HSPA+ tablets in 2011, maybe Android or iPad2

Tags: T-Mobile

Its Friday and T-Mobile just gave us some great news coming in 2011. The magenta company had announced that will carry, next year, a few HSPA+ tablets. TMO has not mention either when they will be available or what OS will be running. We believe some will run Android, Windows 7 or maybe iOS ( remember the new iPad 2 coming next year with AWS 3G bands). Maybe this beauty will land on T-MO soon. Cross your fingers.

“T-Mobile is working closely with the majority of our OEM partners to deliver 4G products by integrating HSPA+ into roadmaps in 2011 as the dominant global standard. Consumers will continue to see HSPA+ fuel future innovation in a variety of mobile consumer electronics from smartphones and tablets to emerging devices. T-Mobile will continue to be at the forefront of wireless innovation, delivering an aggressive 4G product lineup in 2011, including 4G tablets.”

Rumors: Pixi 2 launching on SFR next month; HP / Palm to step up device releases in 2011

We're still tracking rumors on the Pixi 2, which we hope will be a Pixi with beefed-up internals that is no longer a huge step down from the Palm Pre. After seeing the Broadway in code twice now and hearing vague rumors the Pixi 2 might hit Verizon, we are firmly in the believe camp now.

One more piece of evidence - jerseydevil in our forums just sat in on an "HP All Employee Broadcast" wherein HP VP Todd Bradley said that "the smallest smartphone ever available" would launch on SFR in France next month. Rings true to us, SFR is fast becoming the Palm's coziest carrier - they're still the only one to have launched the Palm Pre 2 with webOS 2.0.

Bradley also claimed that HP / Palm would step up their releases next year "HP will ship a new smartphone every two months." That's an agressive schedule, though naturally it still won't hold a candle to the flood of Android devices hitting the market practically every week.
